i wait for 143 @ havelock road.

my record was 1 hour.. waiting for 123 @ tiong bahru plaza.

From what I experienced, 151 at night always 20-30 minutes one. Some more it's not road jam or what, there's like no cars on the road then. Then when bus came swee swee bus almost full of people. They really calculate until damn zhun.

They really have some talented planner to help them in maximizing monopolist profit.

Actually not really, economist will say that public transport should not be privatized to maximize total social benefits in terms of external benefits, because under a natural monopoly, goods with high external benefit will always be under-produced because the monopoly will only look at their profit ignoring the social external benefits.

uh you're talking about a welfare economist i'm talking about a traditional profit-max economist working for a firm.

anyway privatization may be beneficial with regulation such as price ceilings, although obviously thats not whats happening here. and probably will never happen.

they are smarter than that..they learn to price discriminate. working adults with income pay more. chewen and elderly
poor so pay less knn!

anyway privatization may be beneficial with regulation such as price ceilings, although obviously thats not whats happening here. and probably will never happen.
If it happens, they will cramp people into a sardine can with buses at half an hour each standard to "justify" the "low" price...
