CS1105 seems to be a module that is often offered during special sem.

I remembered last yr when the SoC admin sent a survey asking students which module(s) they will take if they are being offered during special sem.

So these modules vary from sem to sem.

They are cutting down on 1102 workload this sem. Should be much more managable.

Anw, I think 1102 is one of those fundemental modules that is impt for the rest of the higher level ones.

If you are taking CS, then 1231 is prob another one you shld be working hard on

Anyone has taken the following modules before?
CS3230 - Design and Analysis of Algorithms
CS3240 - Human Computer Interaction
CS3241 - Computer Graphics
CS3243 - Foundations of Artificial Intelligence
CS3248 - Design of Interactive Media

Any opinions? I thinking if I should take any of those modules as my electives.

By the way, how is CS2106?
I haven't taken CS3230 yet. Planning to do it later, even though I'm doing CS3215 this sem. Hope it won't put me at a disadvantage.

CS2106 is basically theory heavy, plus there are labs every week, and a project. Unix is used as an example to teach the concepts, like what QJPtheSE said. However, the major part is the workload, which may be a bit heavy. Do keep this in mind when planning your timetable.

CS3241 teaches you the basics of creating CG. Mostly theory to enable you to understand the algorithms. The labs are in C++/OpenGL, and can be quite fun/challenging, depending on how you look at it. But don't expect to do any 3D stuff like 3DStudioMax or Maya, this course only does OpenGL. Oh, and there may or may not be a project, depending on the lecturer.
