all the while is the 2 below situation ma:

1) police case/lawyer letter to SPH = thread closed. If lawyer letter state thread must be deleted, the thread will be gone. One example i remember it was so severe that even by casually mentioning, everyone gets banned

2) no case/no letter = business as usual
Sph cowers to legal suits. Because ultimately this platform belongs to them. That is more than reason enough to say they have got to do better than current.
It's like Facebook. They allowed others to post contents but they cannot shirk responsibility by saying they are not aware. Ultimately its hosted on their platform and will be taken to task by authorities when things happened

Moderators are volunteers which I am not contesting on. I am appalled that there are actually no standard protocols in terms of privacy issues.
The forum has allowed members to post pictures of others without permission. So if that is the stance the forum takes, then everybody follows. But when that member has his pictures splashed without permission, the forum takes action.
This is what I am questioning why there are 2 standards and discrimination?
If you are saying the mod team has no protocols, then it looks bad on the team.
If you are saying the mod team has protocols, then it also looks bad on the team because of the standards that are applied.

Please refer to the last paragraph below in bold and we seek your kind cooperation and assistance in this matter

3) Posting photos of others or ladies.

We get it. You guys enjoy sharing nice photos of others.
Nothing wrong with that Ė this has been ongoing for a very long time and we don't disallow it.

The exception is when you go overboard with lewd comments, be prepared to get infracted. What happened to the days when people just +1 because they liked a photo or pass decent compliments? Often the comments are really demeaning. If you canít abide by the said rules above, throwing a fuss about it only makes it worse for you as youíre in the wrong to begin with. Yes, we probably havenít infracted everyone else for similar offences, but neither are we screening every post in the forum. That means youíre already given a hall pass despite the forum rules. If youíre warned/infracted, just take note and move along.

Apart from commenting, if youíre aim of posting someoneís photo is to ridicule or cause harm to them, then weíve all rights to remove the post or the discussion, again thatís in accordance to the rules. Itís also common sense, no? Yes, the photo (and related info) may be publicly available, but your intention of starting a particular topic with regards to that content is the key issue. Letís take an example of a knife Ė itís easily accessible to anyone and you typically use it to cut meats or other equivalent food. Itís harmless, until you intend to use it to stab someone. See the difference?

Does that mean you can automatically post any publicly available photo? Not really.

i) Someone might write in to object the use of their photo in the discussion because they arenít comfortable with the association of the discussion or just any public exposure. You might say itís on the internet, but the user may not have secured his/her social profiles and related image banks, for which we do advise them at the time of complaint to keep such publicly accessible content private. This is related to the intention and use of the image by the threadstarter.

ii) If you post riske, naked, close-to-naked, provocative or pornographic related images, they will be removed and you will be infracted. Thereís a limit to whatís tolerable and decent. This forum board is meant for all walks of life and age and we would appreciate if can respect this. If you require adult entertainment, there are other boards to use.

4) Generally, rules are present to be a guide.

It is not the bible, nor can the moderators perform a thorough moderation to stick to the rules - unless otherwise all posts are screened, which is impossible given the volume. So moderation falls upon the task of a few who are here to assess reported posts and generally help facilitate the use of the forum. We'll try to maintain better uniformity, but we'll also need the help of forum users to report on matters they come across that doesn't fit within the broad rules of the forum.
Thanks
c

I just put up an example.
"if you're aim of posting someone's photo is to ridicule or cause harm to them, then we've all rights to remove the post"

Should look at the threads with photos splashed and ridiculed? Do you need me to name them explicitly?
Just look at the BMW driver and also Regina's thread which has very long episodes. That's why I said, the mod team can write out standards but don't stick to them. Isnt that hypocrisy and double standards? If one can't keep to it, don't even name it.

Actually you don't need my cooperation because I have never uploaded anyone's photos and ridiculed them online neither needing my assistance as well. What your mod team needs is to follow standards that your side has set and not fall short of standards.
