Baby bonus money running out

Gave birth in 2014, send my child to childcare since 18 months and every month depleting $370 now baby bonus is running out. My child only K1.

Any parents face the same issue?

baby bonus is never enough de.. my child's cc is 560 per month after sub. Gone in a blink.. she is a 2015 baby! Plus now with 2 kids, so everything x 2, v shiong.

What we do is we really force ourselves to save for them, set aside money for their fees from our bonuses etc to put into their CDA accounts, enough to pay the school for a year. then every year repeat lor.

once they go primary school, fees wont be this ex liao.. just got to work harder

I dont mean to be blunt but I think the issue is that you are not financially ready for a child.

I don't think any parent should depend on the Baby Bonus for their child's education or upkeep. If you are facing financial hardship, apply for financial assistance. The centre principal should be able to advise you.

Sent to private child care?

Public ones can last much longer.

How much is your husband earning a month? also are you working as well? if so how much?

if you don't use the cda account at all to earn maximum interest, can it be used for next time when the kid is older?

Baby bonus is always not enough.sure going to use finish at certain stage..What i do is still top up every month 200 when the deduction is 370..so at least oni deduct 170 from my kid CDA to prolong as long as possible in the event i am jobless..at least i am sure my kid CDA can withstand at least one year of deduction without me top up..Tat called planning for worse case

if go PAP one.. can be cheaper... but also around 300+ - 500+ a month...
having parents who are willing to help is good...
but not everyone has such luck....
