Suspend classes but still charge full fees?

Parents, it is frustrating for the enrichment classes to charge full fees while replacing normal lessons with home-based learning.

Anyone feel the same?

don't panic
just call to ask for deferred make up classes when COVID wave is over
or ask for pro-rated refund to clear it off

My friends called the tuition centres. They were told no refund of deposit if parents want to withdraw. In a way, parents are forced to pay full tuition fee for e-learning. They do not have other options.

Very barbaric way of handling because tuition centres know that government cannot do anything.

Itís unfair to parents and students because e-learning tutoring may not be suitable for everyone. Some parents said if they want e-learning for their children, they would have signed up long ago because the lessons are so cheap, only 20% of regular classroom tuitions fee.

So now they put themselves above our child. If cant refund then no choice, at least know at this kind of situation, they still think money more impt.

As long as lessons go through, as long as my kid learns. That's the whole objective. Not frustrated.
Fees paid? Can nego at a later stage, let them sort out their admin first THEN TALK. You all panic station go and rally 1000 parents go and bomb their line until no one want to pick up lagi worse.

There are some things you CANNOT OUTSOURCE - such as involvement in your child's school and enrichment activities.

Teachers are there as facilitators for education activities, kids are there to learn and its our role as parents to understand the rationale wtf the teachers and the enrichment centre instructors are teaching so that we can guide them when they are having any difficulties.

Really? This is sad. E-learning should have different charging compared with classroom tuition. Plus, the parents should have the choice if they will pursue e-learning or not...and so, refunds must also be given.

This is extraordinary time. Pls spare a thought for the tuition teachers and staff. They also need to eat.

As long they find alternative way for tuition (online classroom), I am not complaining.
