1. one goldfish sudden death for no reason, was hungry for food yesterday. other goldfish and fishes all not affected and healthy. this kind of sudden death got any explanation?

2. anyone know any fish shop in johor? i trying to find channa barca
Check the body see any dmg from there you can know what's the problem
Sudden death also could be ph/ammonia spike

You try
No 182 Jalan Pahlawan 2
Taman Ungku Tun Aminah
81300 Skudai

or

182, Jalan Pahlawan 2, Taman Tun Aminah,
Skudai, Johor, Malaysia 81300

What breed is your GF?Could be internal parasite?
its mystifying me because it was good for 1 year. in fact he was always the strongest of the goldfish. its a normal small fantail goldfish.

Check the body see any dmg from there you can know what's the problem

i check the whole body just cannot notice anything suspicious. he was not bloated, not floating, just at the bottom barely breathing in morning, after a water change, 2 hrs later die.

thanks for the contact will check them out, love channa.

As long as can remove chlorine and chloramine, it's good enough.

Don't keep worrying about the branding. If not, you might need to drink it to anti-stress instead.

Fish-keeping should be an enjoyable hobby, not stressful instead lah....
yah, watching fish swimming around is enjoyable.....
but trying to keep it alive is bit stressful.... as fish dun talk and im still a noob..
sometimes i scare they sudden death...

so i bit paranoid how to spot suddent nitrate spike or any symptoms to tell me tat fishes are stress...

My discus fishes laid eggs and hatched into the little baby fishes...
But the baby havent even grow up, still attached to the parents they laid another batch of eggs...

Then the momma fish will kee siao tot the new babies had came out already and kept trying to bring the old babies to the eggs. Or otherwise the parents will just gobble them up.

How ah...?

We have 6 discus fishes. They were initially all together, until recent months they kept having eggs so the other 4 we had separate them out into another tank...

Another thing is, the incoming water, we always had 2 problems. Its always either this or that.

1) after a water change, all fishes in the tank will become very dazed. And sometimes as if panting and breathing very hard. More often then not they will recover within 1 to 2 hours, but there are also 2 3 times where almost the whole tank got annihilated. All die...

2) if the fishes are all right, then another thing can happen... the water will turn green very fast thanks to algae within a few days.

of cos. never do water change in a hot afternoon esp if you are staying on the top floor.
do it early in the morning or after 8 pm.

unless you got storage tank to age water at home.

Hmm...

Water goes up from the bottom to a hole at the top... water flows thru it and through a few layers of those kind of white sponge, and a layer of small rocks... then the water below will get pumped back to the tank thru a pipe.

Never meant to filter small small stuffs. Just the poop and food.

Thats pretty much it. The tank is bare except for 2x wood for the fish to hide.

The issue started about a year ago. Before that no issues.
