of cos. never do water change in a hot afternoon esp if you are staying on the top floor.
do it early in the morning or after 8 pm.

unless you got storage tank to age water at home.
I always do my water change after 9pm at night or before 10pm in the morning.

get 5 feet!
Problem is my wife wants 2 separate tanks as she likes guppies. She does not do anything except feeding them. Her guppies, embers and corys stay in the living room.

The other tank in my study houses my platies, embers and corys.

What food do you guys use for your livestock?I use Liquidfry for the fries and Sera Vipagran for the adult fishes.

Take for example last Sat noon...

My tank temperature before water change for my study tank was 26.4.Did 7 pails of water change and temperature shoot up to 28.9.

Quickly switched on the AC and water temperature went back to 25.8.

I know I should not do that but thankfully no fishes died.

I mostly do my water changes after 8-9pm at night.

How about adding ice cubes to cool up the fresh water to be put into the tank?
