facing the longest side at corner. So if I place front left the rocks and drift will be behind to block and slice water flow. Thats where all the creatures will gather, and form hidding place. The creatures will gather left side.

Now if I want them to gather right side, I will place front right.

If I back left or right and place rock drift back, then you will see algae rock algae drift.

Digest this part a bit. Do some mental simulation. water output only filter sai, not the nutrient. With light, the top part will grow algae.

Most of you havent learn how to coexist with algae, so maybe just concentrate on not letting it grow first.

Both parts are learning cycle. Micmicking nature, thats what planted tank is about.

What i will do is WC and clear the filter pads to improve the water condition of the tank

Add the medications to nuke the tank system

Add salt if there's no scaleless or sensitive fishes

every 3-5 day clean the filter pad to remove the wastes, pest and others

Since it's nursing period might as well also soak pellet food into the medication and feed the fishes

Juz in case there's internal parasites.

Cheers.

I'll commence treatment when I am back in town next week. I have treated with a PP bomb followed by 0.4 pct salt for an extended period two months ago when I last added fish, so I do not think it is Ich. Salt is now back to 0 due to WC.

I think I really need to get me a microscope so I can do some scrapings. Only 1 fish is affected. Would be nice to get confirmation if it is indeed flukes since these are relatively easy to see.

How does salt cure fish fungus?

Give the infected fish a salt bath. Along with specific medication, salt baths can help fish with fungal infections.
I think the go-to for fungus is methylene blue.

put them in a quarantine tank and observe them for 2 weeks.
actually we don't quarantine shrimps as I have never come across shrimp disease. at least not locally and they won't spread to fish one.

Firstly see bioload or dirty boh

Next is got prefilter/ mechanical wool , biological media ?

If yes I will just wash the wool weekly or when dirty . Monitor the media if dirty then soak clean in the water u remove during wc. But try not to do all the washing in one go.

Hi,
Anyone can give me advice for aquarium lights. Got a new 60(l)x30(b)x36(h) tank that I'll be upgrading to. But on a budget. I would like to go simple planted tank with easy/Beginner plants. Currently I'm eyeing the beamswork hi lumens 60.
