Did you acclimate the fishes before introducing into tank?

I bought some yesterday. Curious little creatures. But they are not eating when i feed them the Ocean Free food.
Continue to feed them? Any idea?

Thanks.

Maybe you can buy micro pellets from china or multi crisps of brand such as Tetra to see if they eat.
Surprising, not all fish eat Ocean Free.

My dwarf gourami takes micro pellets from china and not Ocean Free brand

Ya. Newly bought fishes were from a brownish color water tank in shop.
Before introducing to my tank, 1/3 water mix and then 2/3 water mix in an hour interval respectively.

New water change of 60% was over night tap water

My guess is the new fishes itself ain't healthy in the first place

Btw do u guys test your water quality regularly?

i always see all the fishes in the LFS before buying.
if 1 species got white spot for example, i will not buy any fish from this shop.

if i buy, i will use drip method.
if the bag comes with 3L of water, i will drip 3L of my tank water into that bag over the next 1 hr.
then i will pour away 5L of the water and drip another 3L from my tank.
than pour away most of the water before introducing the fish into the tank.

Good tip, but drip method tedious for me

Besides the water in LFS, some could be with aquarium med to keep the fishes healthy, however after I brought them home, then realised one had fin rot

Is aquarium salt needed?

not tedious mah. all you need are air hose and this.

drip about 2-3 drops per sec.

never let the fish shop water goes into your tank.

60% is alot. Again, you need to add the water slowly back to replace this 60% to prevent shock to the fishes.
