noob here CPA is similar to ACCA?

CPA can help in what? I from engineering.
Bro, I think you're in the wrong topic..

this is CFA. CFA = Chartered Financial Analyst. (Can't rmb Chartered or Certified) LOL
CPA = Certified Public Accountant

They deal in absolutely different things.. once deals more to accounting and the other deals more to Finance.

In both cases, in order to attain them, an individual must obtain a combination of Qualification + Experience.

CPA = Degree + CPA Course + CPE (Training) Hours + 3 Year Training

CFA = Obtain Degree first + CFA Exams + 4 Year Experience
(Not sure if needs continued training like CPA)

Thanks. It damn difficult to open. I remember reading one story about a guy changing battery during cfa exam and cutting himself deeply. His whole paper is filled with bloodstain
Lesson Learnt : Change Battery Before exam.

I made it a ritual when i took my ACCA exams.. at least I wasn't afraid of it suddenly running out of battery.. lol

Guys who have been there and done that, I would like to ask what's the difference between the questions in 1) Practice Exams, Vol. 1 & 2 and 2 ) SchweserPro™ QBank ?

Thanks bro for sharing, I'm going to register for the Dec 13 Level 1. I would also
like to seek your advise on whether if I should get the Schweser study package?
Honestly, what's the difference between the Schweser notes and the notes CFA provided ?

Hi,

Anyone here who is a CPA and CFA charterholder? What should my path be like if I want to gain experience for both at the same time? Just asking! Cos I am still studying for both and would like to plan for the future!

thanks

Personally I feel that Schweser is sufficient to get you through for the Level 1 exams. Ummm, it is a more condensed version of CFAI.

Hi guys.

I just signed up for the Dec level 1 exam. If anyone looking to form a study group or whatever let me know! alex_clarke@live.com.

currently a student at SIM.

Can anyone advise me on how i can get my hands on the Schweser notes?
Actually the most important thing i need are the mock exams and practice questions.
Looking for the cheapest method. thanks!

Yes, it must be in finance. Even teaching in university is okay. You list your experience and let the cfa institute decide
incorrect. pls see the actual list of criteria:

a. Have a bachelor's (or equivalent) degree or be in the final year of your bachelor's degree program at the time of registration*
b. or have four years of professional work experience (does not have to be investment related)
c. or have a combination of professional work and college experience that totals at least four years. Part-time positions do not qualify, and the four-year total must be accrued prior to enrollment.
