You sure that include Govt Sector like MOE for the post of GEO1?
If ur going into specifics of course different orgn has different requirements. U flearly cant go to NIE MOE if you degree is in management or business simply cos there is no relevant related curriculum to match your qualification e.g even if you degree is in business from the ivy league univ,it would be tough to get to teach the special subjects such as maths, sciences etc..

But i have seen Private holders holding post of vice principal administrative or work within the HQ.

Ur statement is similar to asking if i can work in engineering company with a finance degree

But the thig here is,there are so many orher factors than just degree in getting a job. Ur past work experience, volunteer experience, attributes etc play such a huge role in getting a job. In my opinion,if a company only limits themselves to hiring NTU , SMU and NUS students, then their company progress is probably limited. Huge MNCs and top companies always hire a wide variety f students from different univ even within specific fields to ensure a good mix of culture and attributes.

1) Business Graduate are more competent to teach subjects like PRINCIPLES OF ACCOUNTS, ELEMENTS OF BUSINESS SKILLS & etc in Sec Sch compare to maybe zero knowledge Engineering Graduate.

2) From my understanding, DL Engineering Graduate is not recognize for the post of GEO1 with MOE.

3) If I did not remember wrongly, I did mention in HWZ that MOE recognize DL Degree for post of Op Mgr, Admin Mgr & etc but not for the post of GEO1 which is the reason why I comment that MOE is double standard. I have a pte Dip classmate secure a Temp HR job with MOE using his GCE that happen few years back. If I do not know him personal & hear + see from other, I may think Pte Dip is recognize by MOE for a perm HR position.

Self-studied and got mid 700. Just do the official book many times and understand all concepts in it. The rest are quite useless

u must remember that if u have generic degree, you cannot teach specialised subjects, whether your degree is local degree or DL.

I agree that with a Business Graduate can't teach much in Sch for Science related subjects but it does not mean that Engineering Graduate should be assign to teach Business related subjects.

When my brother is in Sec Sch, his PRINCIPLES OF ACCOUNTS teacher main job is a PE teacher and he is the only teacher teaching accounting subject in sch. His teacher is an Engineering Graduate but not sure if he have accounting knowledge. My Brother get a C6 for his GCE O result while his Sec Sch cohort have 80% failure rate for that subject.

This is what I am unhappy with our government & MOE education system & management. In my brother case if he is train by a Business Graduate, will my brother & his cohort perform better for his PRINCIPLES OF ACCOUNTS subject?

to be honest with you i don't think these courses are worth it. the formulas are basic sec sch math... if you could do it back then you can certainly do it now.

i took one week leave to study full time and got 750+.

my strategy was: take 1 official test to familiarize with question type and format. take diagnostic tests in official guide to understand which kind of questions i was weak at. focused on those sections using the kaplan gmat 800 advanced prep book.

memorised a standard framework for essays.

took a second practice test the night before.

get a good nights sleep and prepare a lot of caffeine.
