Master of Science (MSc) in Industry 4.0

Recently I wonder if University like NUS or I am out of touch. We advice people to study Engineering Degree to become an Engineer doing scope of work like Research and Development or Business Degree to become an Administrator doing scope of work like Plan and Implement Policy.

So what is Master of Science (MSc) in Industry 4.0? After reading their Programme ( http://scale.nus.edu.sg/programmes/g...(20190403).pdf ), the Core Modules are all about what NUS feel is Industry 4.0 while you top up the rest of the Elective Modules from various faculties like NUS Faculty of Engineering, NUS Faculty of Science, NUS Institute of Systems Science, NUS School of Computing & NUS School of Continuing and Lifelong Education.

I feel that NUS is telling you Industry 4.0 should fall under these faculties and it is up to your fate to chose the correct Modules and prepare yourself for the new world. So what jobs can a Master of Science (MSc) in Industry 4.0 do? I really don't know cause you don't have a focus if you study this course.

Anyone wish to comment about this course?

taken from the website

The curriculum is also specifically designed in accordance with the Singapore Economic Development Board’s (EDB) Singapore Smart Industry Readiness Index to further aid companies in transforming their capabilities through their human capital, and support Singapore’s drive towards becoming a Smart Nation.

The NUS MSc in Industry 4.0 is offered on both a full-time and part-time basis.

looking at how they have planned this program - i don't think this program is meant for 'fresh' graduates who have no job experience. rather, i think this program would be very beneficial to an existing engineer/employee who's already working in the field and needs to update themselves.

the flexibility of this program would allow ppl from multiple industries to join, select what they deem is important for their own career development.

Maybe you should start by learning the difference between advice and advise before doling out unneeded "advice"

I cannot find more details bout each stream and quit confuse about the programme structure.
Anyone who went for briefing can share.
Anyway I had applied the admission because the processing fee is waived.
