Borderlinx SUCKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Without knowing that there is a tie up between Borderlinx and Citibank, I registered an account with them. Despite me choosing Singapore as my country, I was registered as an EU customer and given a New York address, and charged a registration fee of USD$5.

I only realized I need a Citibank card when I wanted to ship items back. Only then did I contact their customer support and received HORRIBLE support from cheap Indian representatives. They pushed ALL the blame to me. I don't understand how the blame can be on me, since I already chose my country as Singapore, unless of course they didn't know Singapore is not an EU nation.

Such practices is akin to holding my goods hostage and forcing me to get a Citibank Card. Despite their cheap shipping charges, this is probably the last time I will use them.

I even found more Negatives reviews about this Borderlinx SCAM :

Serious? I didnt know there is a USD$5 registration fee.. was there any other fees involved?

yup, no registration fee for me as well. I even got some discount code for my first shipping. Only once though, after that business as usual. ><

Then do travellers who go oversea for holiday with their camera, are the camera banned from airplane? Since one of the above member said that his camera was rejected by Vpost since camera include the battery? So if you travel oversea with family, I wonder how are people going to take family pictures of their trip oversea?

Shopping Service

Has anyone tried usamail1.com ? They have a shopping service also. Their rates seem reasonable.

I'm an OCBC card holder.. wanna try this service because somehow the website i wanna shop soon ships only to US. heh.

After reading all the reviews, think i can say that using this forwarding service, the final cost that you will incur is not predictable huh? As the shipping on the forwarding company depends on the weight.

Because I thought since we got a USA address, how bout take advantage of the "Free Shipping to Local Addresses if your order is above USD50".

But i think it still depends right because shipping directly to your house might be cheaper than paying forwarding service shipping?

Anyone could clarify this? as in do you now use this USA address all the time or you calculate first to see which is cheaper?
