dunno should change to this or not, coz like its dedicated micro sd and side finger print.

Why is the quick charging so important?
Charge overnight good enough isn't it?

immortal86 31-10-2018 11:41 PM

oh coz i dont put my phone to overnight charging.. and sometime in a rush fast charge is valuable to me

I only encounter it last week at galaxy roadshow at compass one but didnt really play with it as i was playing with the A9 instead.

I will take A7 now...

Pros against 3i
Wifi connectivity will be better for A7 as it's dual band vs nova 3i which is just 2.4Ghz big plus point!
SD Card A7 can take up to 512GB vs 256GB for 3i
Bluetooth 5.0 vs 4.2
Better Camera (on paper, not sure in real life)
Can put 2 sims + SD card (dedicated SD card slot) big plus!

NFC , obviously good to have
Super AMOLED vs LCD

Cons against 3i
Slightly bigger screen than A7
Running Oreo 8.1 vs 8.0 for A7
Rear Fingerprint sensor vs Side Sensor for A7
Got sexy Notch (subjective, some like some dont')

Feel free to add the pros and cons

No IP rating, not big deal perhaps
? fast charge, most prob not
No usb c, not that big deal I guess

I'm also using a S7e, with the infamous thick irritating pink lines now
So need to change. Not keen for flag ships, think a good midranger would do.

Was looking at the A8 star/A8, but the new A7 is excellent value for 428-150
Only negative point in my view is the lack of fast charge. Oh well...

SG version is using Exynos 7885 with 4GB RAM/128GB ROM.

May I ask where you got this information? The Lazada page and also Samsung's own website doesn't say the chipset.

I also realise it's not a direct discount, so it's only worth it if you have something else worth >$150 you intend to spend on.

There are no notification lights as well.
But for this price plan, it's fantastic given that even one year ago, you can't get this type of features on a mid-range phone...

I wonder if it'll be coming to the local telcos with contract?

This $428 is retail price right? I assume price with contract will be slightly cheaper? :)

Does the A7 (2018) support MST in Samsung Pay, or will it be Samsung Pay Mini (NFC only)?
