For SGD$3k+ to $4k, I rather use that money to buy a 16 inch MacBook.

I'm quite blown away by the phone. It looks better than the 1st gen. But is this also going to have crapxynos?
The Fold series should be using SD.

Don't believe this gimmick. I've personally "traded up" before.

They are more stringent than the handphone shop outside. These so called ah Beng shop typically deduct $20 to $30 from their listed trading in price. The usual crap on scratches and things like that. Scratches you cannot even see when they shine their floodlights on your phone.

Samsung trade up program won't hesitate to deduct more than $150 off their listed trade-in prices. Their reasons are more far fetched than those ah Beng shops outside

Samsung have appointed PC Dreams as their agent... remember trading in my Note9 at their Jurong outlet after purchasing Note 10 from neighbourhood mobile phone shop and quoted me about $300 - $400 coz my phone got dint and minor scratches around the frame

My goodness, there really is a Galaxy Z Fold 2 Thom Browne Edition

https://www.hardwarezone.com.sg/tech...browne-edition

From article

"...Assuming the Z Fold 2 is priced similarly, then you can expect the Thom Browne Edition (if it does come) to sell for around S$5,000..."

"...has a 6.2-inch screen on the outside and a 7.6-inch foldable display (120Hz) made with Samsung’s Ultra Thin Glass on the inside. Samsung is also touting a ‘state-of-the-art’ hideaway hinge (its colour can be customised, apparently) that supports Flex Mode, which means it can stay half-open up to around 120°..."

"...Other notable specs include a Snapdragon 865 Plus SoC, 12GB RAM and 256GB UFS storage, a triple-lens rear camera and a combined 4,500mAh battery that supports 25W fast wired charging..."

- Galaxy Z Fold 2 Fan Edition
- Galaxy Z Fold 2 LITE

Yes you're right. pC dreams.

Anyway, my point is very simple. Don't trade up with Samsung. Their so called $100 more is even lower than the neighbourhood handphone shop

Mine was Note 512GB variant.... the value drop like crazy

Trade in price for fold is up to $1100 based on the Samsung Trade-up programme

Given how stringent PC Dreams evaluate the product... would expect that they offer half the trade in pricing or more which translate to $500 - $800
