Yes I recall there was some setup to link to my gmail account as well as samsung apps. Time date was auto set.

Batt cover is separated from phone when first unbox.
I shd thk mobu sets are open b4. noticed they dun hv plastic seals, only stickers on both sides. one of which not official. My set came with white phones. (is that same as telcos'?). asked them they say like that.Had a hitch it was opened b4, din care cos was 1st day released...not that fussy, and too gian liao.

can download the multi language ime and just switch within the keyboard.
no need to switch from the input method.

Anyway i want to ask you guys here cos i suspect my set was a resealed set. When you first power one for the first time, was there any set up like google set up? Cos mine went straight into home screen..

I thought should go into google set up page for the first power on.

Also, was the back cover separated from the phone got closed together? Thanks.
I bought mine in JB and it was sealed with plastic wrap.

The battery cover is separated from SGN.

At the very first power on you need to make several settings: Language, Date, Time etc.

Btw my travel charger comes with a 3-pin adapter.

In your case I suspect your set was bought from telco and re-sold to the mobileshop

This is the best example that Android OS is, contrary to uneducated guess, not the b*tch that drains your battery dry.

when it is there, it tends to make people go even though it does not affect the battery life much...

73% Android OS over 6 hours and 4% battery drain.
