assuming that they take in @ $950, i guess its still worth to do the buy-ip-sell-buy-note?
cos ip for ss300 is $248, and i believe SGN is more than $248 for SS300, and since MS and WM sell SGN @ $930.

any thoughts on this anyone?
might be getting it on monday xD
Today's Straits Times says SGN is $398 for SS300. So yeah, it might be a good idea if you buy-ip-sell-buy-note. You buy 4s for $248, sell for $950, buy SGN for $930, total damage $228. You buy SGN directly, have to fork out $398. So you save $170, more if you have Starhub vouchers like in my case. And if you just google "WTB iPhone 4S", there'll be a whole list of buyers and all you gotta do is contact them and look for the one that gives a better price, like what I did.

When I wanted to buy my SGN when it launched, it cost $468 with SS300. I had a $300 Starhub recon voucher so even after using that I'd still have to fork out $168. So what I did was buy a 4S 32GB at Starhub which cost $378 with SS300 (only paid $78 after using voucher), sold it to a buyer i googled for $1100, and then bought SGN at Samsung for $998 (eventhough I could have bought it elsewhere for $860 or something but I didn't want to). So all in all, I made a profit of $1100-$998-$78= $24, and I saved $168, which I would have paid if I bought the SGN directly from Starhub. So not only did I not pay a single cent for my SGN, I even made a small profit. Plus, I had sold off my 3GS for $250.

Hope this helps make your decision.

thanks man
for my case i only have a $50 voucher, which means to say i will still have to fork out a lil bit, but not as much if i bought sgn direct from starhub.

but i have a small worry,
if i buy the sgn from shops like mobilesquare or whymobile, how i do check that the set i get from there is not an export set? any procedures/tips to check it?

well another downside of doing the buy-ip-sell-ip-buy-sgn is that i have to travel from parkway all the way to fareast plaza to do the trading

btw the ip4s still flying off the shelves? have to queue before starhub shop open har? i remember last time when iphone4 was out, even 6 months into its release still got ppl queue for it before the shop open to get their hands on one. sigh.

Hi,
May I know how can I make my SGN recognise .mov files as video files?
Received Mov files through whatsapp and I'm able to play it through the play video button in whatsapp, but SGN wouldn't recognise it when I browse it thought "my files" even though the directory is inside /sdcard

second question is, may i know how do i navigate to get the battery % usage app? Does it comes with the SGN or do I have to download it from the Market, if so whats the name of the app?

Cheers

Use ES file explorer or Astro file manager.

Battery usage : settings > about Phone > battery usage.

You may create a shortcut on home screen, left menu key > add > shortcut > settings > battery usage.
And by the way, try "2x battery" app which you can get on the market.
