Has anybody got QuickDesk Pro to work with the galaxy note? The double tapping to launch the QD. I can't seem to get it to work

Good news guys, I finally managed to get Papago X5 working on the Note, albeit with some GUI problems.

1. Install Papago X5 (including copying the Navisea folder to your Note's internal memory)
2. Install "Spare Parts" from Market
3. Run "Spare Parts" and ensure that "Compatibility mode" is unchecked/deselected
4. Reboot your phone.
5. Connect your SGN to your PC and mount it as a USB Storage Device
6. Go to sdcard\Navisea\Organic
7. Copy and paste the 854x480 folder in the Organic folder.
8. Rename the copy of the 854x480 folder to 800x1280
9. Go to sdcard\Navisea\Organic\EN
10. Copy and paste the 854x480 folder in the EN folder.
11. Rename the copy of the 854x480 folder to 800x1280
11a. (Optional) Do the same thing for the other folders if you use the other languages.
12. Unmount your phone from the PC and start Papago.

This is what it looks like on my phone. It'd be perfect if someone was able to resize the stuff in the EN folder to 800x1280. I found a program to edit the PSU files so I might try it out one of these days when I've got more time on my hands.

Credit goes to this guy from XDA (although his instructions weren't very clear): xda-developers - View Single Post - Do you have any little disappointments with the note
mine forces close... any idea? thx!

I just received my black/navy blue SGN. Ordered from red camp's online store, it comes w/ flip case. The delivery man (actually SingPost guy) told me he's been delivering a lot of SGNs to areas in the North - AMK, Bishan etc.

Am going HK next week - going to loot all the SGN accessories and card there!

Shouldn't it be sliding up, similar to wave launcher?

Hi guys, there are people reported SGN screen issue, see picture below.

Does it cover under warranty?

You can use the built-in calculator to verify.

Sorry to break your hope. that isn't as the answer I've gotten since Weeks ago was they have reported back to hq as this also appears on their test sets.

If u set a pure black jpeg lock screen Wallpaper, u will see weird magenta banding which also appears on their test sets. All my 3 notes have the same problem and Samsung has nothing to Cure it..

Anybody tried out this Jotter app? It's specifically made for the devices with the S-Pen.

Edit: Bit the bullet and bought it. Wow, impressed. Yeah it costs 6 bucks but much more useful than the S-memo.

about the pure black screen i had the problem but choose to live with it.

when at the lock screen i tried have a picture with black areas on top and bottom, they apparently have wavy lines on them. but it doesn't affect the home screen background as i set pure black to save some batt. so it only happens on certain area i think. calculator and lock screen so far?

Yup. And in gallery when viewing dark regions of photos.

If u want pure black lock screen wallpaper, did found a workaround.

Set live wallpaper, make sure both lock and home are the same
Next go to settings-display-screen display, set HOME screen wallpaper to your desired pure black jpeg found in gallery.

Walla, u will automatically get a 101% working pure black lock screen wallpaper with no banding. Don't ask me why, even Samsung engineers are baffled by this phenomenon.
