Just to share a link which you can get original Note battery at more than 50% cheaper here :

http://detail.tmall.com/venus/spu_de...d=13498950624#

The only problem is the shipping cost................

Unless if you can go to China or get a PR friend to help you to buy.

I got it for my collick that time when my brother returned from China and it's proven from my collick it's the same as the original.

How to check is it the original as from my collick ?
The battery should weigh the same as the original & another thing you can confirmed by scanning the QR code, it should be the same as the original................................

Do you have pictures of the battery you bought?
Would like to see the part near the copper pins if possible.

My collick just let me compare. They looked identical. But as what my collick said if you are talking about the engraving positive & negative polarities, then it's not a true indicator of original or fake.

The only ways to check is to feel the weight, the original is much heavier or down the QR barcode scanner to your note & scan the QR code on the battery & compared to the original one.......should be the same & the fake one will be different & might not be able to scan at all.

The price $268 is with contract with Singtel , without contract would be more higher price tag.

i was wondering, does the note have a built in basic calendar like the default google one, or must we use s planner? I tried s planner but it seems like we must use kies to sync with google. I'd like to keep things simpler if possible.

Not sure about the default calender app but S Planner seems to sync with my Google Calendar automatically. Just an fyi it seems to take a couple of minutes before your calendar entry shows up in S Planner. Think it has to synchronize with Google Calendar first before it shows up.

Anyone curious about beta ICS for Note?

This is the thread on XDA which I happened upon yesterday night. A leaked ROM for i9220 which is the China analogue of our N7000. Hand itchy so I took the plunge and flashed. My initial impressions since this morning:

- The ROM is stable and doesn't hang, crash, or appear to use excessive CPU.
- Suitable for day-to-day use. Much more stable than the early SGS2 ICS ROMs.
- What works: Almost everything including Face Unlock
- What doesn't work well: USB PTP mode (will lose connection when copying files), Phone smart dialer has some visual bugs
- A bit laggy when scrolling through home screens.
- Batt life is quite good, better than on any Gingerbread ROM. I used App Quarantine to disable some useless stuff like Samsung account, SNS/Social Hub and all the Sina/QQ/Tencent stuff that this China ROM comes with.
- GPS is a bit slow in locking, it seems this ROM has no network A-GPS.

For anyone wanting to try please note (pun intended )
- This ROM is flashed using Odin. It will not format the 16GB internal storage, but it will wipe all apps and user data.
- After flashing you must boot into CWM Recovery and flash the Google Apps package which is also mentioned in the thread. If not, you will not have Market.
- Take note that after flashing you will subsequently see the yellow triangle on every boot.

See the thread for details...
And btw standard disclaimer applies: "at your own risk"...
