News on the web said that it will be released in Sept 12.

Downgrading of firmwares does not need root.

You just need a PC Odin will do. Please take note. All official firmware is no wipe upgrade of downgrade but recommeded to do so except on stock ICS kernel. If you are intending to wipe on stock ICS... think thrice!
sorry not very sure what you mean.

do you mean as long as i use official firmware (which is no wipe), my phone will not be bricked?

He meant official firmware will not wipe your existing data by default, but it's recommend to do a wipe - but not with the stock ics kernel.

Getting your phone bricked is another matter.

I just encountered this problem today. .while I'm charging my note through the wall socket. ..my battery percentage kept dropping instead of going up. .

possibly a cable contact problem. try anther cable.

Yes, especially if the widget is set to download & refresh content frequently.

download cpuspy and check when charging which speed is the processor running on, got a feelings its something running at the background and speed is not at 200mhz thus causing the drain

try restarting your phone. I have had that problem earlier. What I did to solve it was by installing Speedmod's K3-3 kernel for ICS

Anybody using tapatalk 2 here? Any lag when scrolling in forums? Mine lags a little but only for that app...surfing using dolphin or opera does not lag...

Considering note but like to check
- stability of ics? Saw few complaints on forum

- batt life of wireless browse.? Saw gsmsreana say 3 or 5h? What's real?

- laggy while surf net? Saw video when compared to s3 it's laggy when scrolling
