LOL... if this is true, then the fingerprint sensor (FPS) is at a lower position now...

:s13::s13:

And this is after people complaining about the position of the FPS since S8 and Note8.....

At least Samsung positioned the FPS at a lower position..... hopefully we can get the on-screen FPS on the Note9 or even S10....

Yes, based on all the leaks so far, it is almost certain that the s9/9+ will have the fingerprint sensor placed as shown in the pics. Which is a pity, I was so much hoping for a fingerprint sensor underneath the screen.

But I really don't understand phone designers/engineers. It is quite obvious that the side placement of the fingerprint sensor on the s8/8+ is stupid. You don't need much intelligence to figure that one out. And I don't think it would have taken too much effort for Samsung to reposition the sensor below the camera. But yet, they went ahead with the side placement on the s8/8+, only to move it down in the s9/9+ . It's simply mind boggling ... !

I saw some video where they interviewed this 2 korean chicks who were apparently the designers of the dumb fingerprint scanner at the side and they said they wanted to make everything (cam lens, flash and scanner) all in 1 horizontal line. And the fact that Samsung mgmt approved it makes it even more mind boggling, like there's no sane person in that whole chain of command who can see that it's a stupid place to put the scanner.

Or I think the more likely scenario was that they gave the big boss a few designs and he chose it and no one dares to veto him.

Anyway even with the fingerprint scanner at the bottom, the flash is still at a weird place. They should look at the Mate 10 pro to see how to design the back of a smartphone.

Im still with S7 edge. Decided to wait for S10 hoping it would have finger print sensor in front, not necessarily on the screen.

unless they decide to copy Mate 10 design, those days are over. the only time when the fingerprint sensor will go back in front is under the screen itself

Not happening unless it goes under the screen. There is no space for it on the front.

I see new phones sian ji bua liao, see the same old back fingerprint even less interest.

Last year I sign S8+ only because I got corp plan to utilize and the other expensive phones are worse IMO. Otherwise I would just have no-SIM on a Xiaomi.
