Any comment on SMU School of Accountancy ?

Hi everyone

Is SMU accountancy course a good option to consider in terms of prospects etc ?

How is it compared to NTU and NUS (BZ/accountancy) ?

Is there an over supply of accountants now ?

Min requirement is AAB/B for A level is it ?

NUS accountancy is harder to get into than NUS Biz (biz 1/2 As possible).

Consider the accountancy industry and its potential growth. Accountancy is pretty specific. Can't speak for SMU but I heard that NUS accountancy less specific than NTU. depends on what you value and the leeway you get to switch if you decide that accountancy isn't for you. Many NUS accountancy students eventually go to finance. I've heard that only Audit in accountancy is growing but since I'm not in the field please do additional research.

If you're going for a business school. SMU is known for being able to train the students very well in terms of how to speak. (not to say NUS and NTU don't but its just an added emphasis in SMU)

NUS vs NTU each has its own niche. NTU 3 years direct honours, NUS less packed curriculum. Also they're different in terms of the specialisation so check that out.

Prospects different according to the student you are. It is unfair to make a comparison in terms of prospects for an average student because every student has a different grade+ CV profile
