Hey, wondering if anyone can help me with my Z3 compact problem. After about 18 months, the notification screen kept coming down despite the fact that I had not touched it. I did the touch screen diagnostic and it seems fine. Still on the original andriod kitkat. The problem is getting serious as it is affecting me from doing things like typing. Anyone else got similar problem?
LOL, bro, you have a totally opposite problem. I want mine to come down, but it wouldn't. Nonetheless, I know it's really frustrating for us who rely heavily on smartphones now.

My problem occurred right after MM upgrade. Whether it's a mis-configuration in the MM fw or incompatibility issue, Sony should take it up because the phone was 100% working until the update prompted and won't go away.

very rare to see such a review only after 3 years of its release.
the z3 series are the best batch of Sony phones, in terms of battery and performance. I love the orange z3c. its very compact and gorgeous.

later models after z3 series get worst in battery life.

IMO performance wise in terms of computing power it is still very relevant to a vast majority of users who probably only do heavy web surfing, youtube/watch videos and messaging (email, whatsapp). After all it uses the high-end snapdragon 801

My Z3C screen digitizer gone erratic within 2 years. Authorized repair, which guarantees IP68 status, costs $270. Will never trust Sony's QC anymore.

My Z3C was sent to the repair center for screen bottom zone dead after approx 8 months.

The replacement screen's middle touch zone died after 1 year+. I replaced it with a 3rd party screen since out of warranty, and the middle touch zone issue came back after 2-3 months.

No more Sony for me.

don't know why the screen issue is common on z3 compact and z3.
honestly speaking, if not because of it, I would have again bought z3 compact.
however, my z3 tablet is still working fine. no display issue.
