Currently, I am using Sony Z3 and I was looking for another Sony with a bigger screen size. I like the design of XA1 Ultra and had earlier thought of going for it by the end of this month if this is available but after much consideration, in my opinion the 2700 mAh battery capacity for the 6 inch display is not ideal and the Pump Express plus 2.0 charger for faster charging is optional.

Just gotten this as a secondary phone. Pretty decent. Nice camera, decent screen and camera. Surprisingly decent cpu, no visible lag when typing or playing low demand games.
Another surprise, does not feel any significant warm up of phone even after 3 plus hrs usage (gaming+YouTube +surfing) unlike my previous.
Not great battery life but decent lab.

How's the screen on-time rate?

Have not really measured that.

My initial impression is that it seems to drain the battery abit faster when taking stills or videos, as compared to utube, light gaming or web browsing. Best is web browsing, battery like barely dropped a point in 1 hour (using opera mini).

Game played is Future fight.

One last thing photo taking does warm up the phone a bit, nothing unbearable though.

See if got time to do a rough SOT test.

Hi, a decent and quick review. One of my look to phone, its either this or the huawei p10 lite. Your browsing was on wifi? How's the charging time?

Hi thanks.

Yes the browsing was on wifi (5ghz/135mbps).

Charging was quick on the bundled standard charger (not quick charge type, have to purchase separately if u want mediatek qc technology.)

Though the charging slows to trikle charging when reached 90% (took about 1hrs+ from 40%). Thus when the notification light turns green, battery is not at 100% yet. I am fine with it, always unplugged at 90+%. The phone and charger barely feels warm.

Cheers.

Mediatek uses Pump Express 2.0 on this chipset. Not many Pump Express chargers available.

Sony UCH12 I am using for my Sony XZ Qualcomm chipset.
This charger have Pump Express 2.0 and Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.
Both Qualcomm and Mediatek chipset can use.
Price wise around $60.

Please kindly help me answering -
I want to put a Data SIM-card on SIM1 for Internet and a Pre-paid SIM-card on SIM2 for normal voice calls. Can 'both' SIMs be active at the same time and use simultaneously?
I mean, when I am waiting for a WhatsApp or Messenger call or browsing on SIM1, will the other SIM2 will become inactive and cannot receive normal voice incoming calls? I hope not.

Someone who have bought and used Sony Xperia "XA1", please help me deciding on buying that phone.
