Your DBS got to link up with your CDP to apply online.
i already linked up my CDP to DBS ibanking, but I don't see the IPO Courts Asia optiona anywhere, except via buy/sell trading in the linked CDP account.

i gotta key in 0.77 price limit? don't think so correct?

I logged in via DBSVO account, but no IPO option for this too.

Talking

is it supposed to be listed in the prospectus how much real YYlots will be assigned if apply for XX lots?
i couldn't find this info.
so not clear how much to press.

i don't wanna press 50k and end up buying 50k worth .. don't have that much real money ..

noob here too..

if my DBS EPS says not available, then how else to apply online, if not at ATM?

I signed up for GIRO payment when I opened my account, does that mean it makes buying IPO in future difficult?
ie. only thru ATMs?
if u dont have enough cash for 50lots u wont be able to apply for 50lots. IPO is pay up front for all the shares u apply for.

anyway if u apply for 50lots, chances are u wont get 50lots. u will probably get 3-7 lots or depend on how the distribution is like.

the IPO distribution table is only released after the successful IPO applicants get their shares.

1) if i have no EPS payment for shares available, is this the problem?
but i have already applied for GIRO.
is this the difference?
the bank officer told me, that i can only apply for 1 of the 2 methods of payment.

2) do i have to "cash top up to DBSVO account" first to see the IPO option?
ie. to the cash upfront account?

anyway, what I am looking for help for, where is the option to apply for the IPO specifically, via DBS ibank or DBSVO?

Hope your answers are more specific, as I don't see this easily as expected from the answers so far..
this is soooo weird ....

what's the avg probability for 5 lots? based on past experience? 1 lot nia? But I saw somewhere that 1-9 lots is 50% chance to get.. I don't really want to press 10 lots or more..

thank you lionelow.

no one mentioned about the slew of questions that needed to be ticked and answered first, before seeing the IPO option.

I had to try it and then understand why you keep mentioning ESA.

Dividend yield at 2%++ with some potential upside growth.

Still considering if i should press, still reading up more on it, few more days to decide.

The yield is not the deciding factor whether you should press anot, because this stock has no growth potential. Just think of it as a short term trade, that's it.

If you are looking for growth potential stocks, there are many other's which give better dividends and capital gain if it moves up

Pls read properly... Regardless of who your broker is, you need a CDP account which is where the IPO shares go. Then you have to transfer the shares to SCB if you want to sell there.

Is there such a thing as "private means"?
SCB is not linked to CDP. So you don’t need a CDP account if you subscribe through your SCB banker through private placement*.

The conventional, easier and cheaper method of course to subscribe thru' CDP+ibanking/atm. This should be the case for most unless you are a BB who cares about SCB 0.2% comm.

*Disclaimer: I’ve not done it before. It is technically possible though.
