1. Research on brokerage fees
2. Choose ur broker and open account
3. Read some analyst report. Suggest go for big caps insyead of small n mid caps.
4. Start small, buy into ur preferred stock.
5. Continue reading news and reports.
6. Do this for 1yrs or so, u will become stock expert liao.

Do not have gambler mindset

You can go to the library and borrow Adam Khoo's book on investing. He teaches step by step how to start. That's how I learn and start during my NS. other than that, Adam Khoo's book on investing is shiat. Just another guy who earned his money through motivation talks and not stocks. So don't buy into his rubbish other than read that book on how to basically start buying your first stock

You need to do some reading over the internet.

You may consider the following plan. Do read more.

Yes I recommend to go slow first.

Build your confidence.

Once you are confident and if you want to be more adventurous, then can go for stocks picking.

Some choose to take the adventurous route first. After losing money, they give up stocks.

I understand that investing in indexes seem to be the best choice, just want to find out the most cost effiicent and convenient way of doing it.

Going for free investment talks, trying to understand seedly content also seems like viable options.
