Retail Bond: Perennial Hldg 4.65% 3years

Small issue of 150mil, may upgrade to 300mil. Public bidding open at 9am on Tuesday and will close at 9am on Oct 21.

Not bad maybe will bid some.

Can someone explain how retail bonds are affected by interest rates? I thought the percentage they giving is fixed?

Wait, retail bond as in, not for accredited (i.e. can press at ATM)? HOW DID I MISS THIS NEWS?!

Don't worry, just like the Frasers and Aspial retail bonds (aka "press ATM" bonds), all the investment bloggers will publish their analysis of whether you should get the bond.

The good news is that Frasers and Aspial all selling above IPO price, so expected that you won't lose money with this bond as well.

Of course, money locked up in bonds means less money to buy good stuff, like Sembcorp at $3.33, DBS at $16.50, etc.

For those less risk-adverse...
Buy these not bad yielding bond, use the interest to buy those higher risk stocks. Capital is kinda more protected and yield would also increase.

Probably press 20-25k worth.. 3years gone fast fast.
