I have a totally opposite thinking from yours. :s22:
The price drop ytd was mainly due to -25.7% q4 net profit and -49% div. It would drop >$0.11(4.2%) if no buyback. It prevented some app alerts (for passive investors) and trading bots from triggering , which could cause even more panic selling. Buyback shows that the company is cash rich, not in big debts, and confident on its share price. It should give some form of assurance to investors.

Likewise, shareholders should be worried when their company try to raise cash in a weird way during a plunge in earnings. 😎

Actually, if share buyback occurs, shouldn't the share price increase instead? It reduces the number of outstanding shares in the market pool which leads to an increase in the share price short term. Of course, there are a lot of other options to use that money instead of buying back their own shares.

Depends on how much they buyback? Maybe not significant enough to cover the selling from negative news?

2.4 range seems ideal for this week but will probably wait a few trading days to confirm the price movement first.
not going to average down too much also. :s22:

nice. despite all the buyback still so low. questionable.
