Windows 7 tablet Pad

A bro pm me about Windows 7 Tablet Pad because he feel iconia laggy and looking for other options.

iconia maybe laggy for many reasons, but i think if we disable all win 7 animations, you should be faster but will not look as nice.

secondly, maybe need to wait for the next touch screen driver then maybe it will be more responsive. similar to our mouse, I am using microsoft mouse 500 v2.0, it is more responsive compare to those $10 mouse.

* responsive in this case refer to when I click, how much time it take to show on screen.

In pentium 4 days, graphic cards has something call ramdac not too sure what it does but it has something to do with the amount of time take to show on screen as well...

Below are some pictures my latest win 7 pad but only on pre-order, we are too small to bring in and hold stock like the big boys.

The only tablet in SG that has VGA out, battery can change, ram and hard disk can change by layman without warranty void. And ya it is a CHINA PAD..lolx

android design vs capacitive/resistive

guys and ladies,

i am in mid of bringing the 7inch samples for testing and confuse of consumer needs.

This is the photo sent by factory.

Personally i like the looks of the white one, it is a metal housing on top but sad it is resistive. factory claim their resistive respond to capacitive.

if let say as a consumer, will you buy a resistive (white) or you will choose capacitive (black)?

resitive is ok...what is important for a 7" is the weight along with a full feature of a 10.1...(RAM etc)

its white and wil be appealing to many..

Some resistive screen works quite well too. The Creative Ziio is a good example.
Tried it using fingers and seemed to work.
Depending on price, most consumers would be fair in knowing what they are getting.
Afterall, not all capacitive screens works as well as touted.

Thanks sky for the feedback.

Will get the white one resistive in as well for testing.

I am getting the black one with 3G in (no camera) for testing too, think will be handy during reservist or in camp. =P

7" is portable..(some alternate sleeve & screen protector available)
8" -> 9" looks best and carry along (no alternate sleeve & screen protector available)
10" is good for vierwing but "bulky" to carry
