Ya, Huawei Mate 8, Honor 8 are using kirin 950. On the other hand, there are also many phones using snapdragon 625, eg. Mi A1, Redmi Note 4 but limited on tablet (Lenovo Tab 3 P8 is one of the Snapdragon 625 tablet ~$200 if you don't mind taking older model).

In fact, Tab 4 plus is more to original/stock android while Mediapad M3 is with quite a number of UI customization (EMUI) that includes its finger scanner to be configured to function as all in one button-home,return,task,unlock pretty similar to Meizu mback design and to have all virtual button hidden.

Feel the same, looking for replacement for my Samsung tab s. Initially was looking at tab s2, but looks like Lenovo tab 4 8" is perfect replacement. Except the return and task "button" is reverse from Samsung model.
Haha...Samsung is the one who has reverse the icons. Default android is back, home, multi task from left to right

Samsung is the eastern side while Google in the western.
So naturally the opposite... haha

It doesn't do Alt Display mode. Won't work with USB C docks that do HDMI out.

Works with Displaylink docks after installing the driver.

Actually would sideloading apks work flawlessly?

You only wont get Google Maps and Play Store right?

with FM radio it could be modded to work as an in dash display.

Google Gaaps is needed, to be exactly and available for the V/X version (non China).

From XDA forum, there are ppl who bought the N version and attempted to install the google gaaps (for google core functions and services) via TWRP (after root) or flash to non china rom- still lots of unanswer, checked and no such google package installation service from some China 1688 export sellers, ...If this $228 is comes with the STABLE google Gaaps (perhap the seller has flashed it to X rom or other kind of mod) then it may worth.
