Surface Pro 2 Is A Laptop Replacement And Surface 2 Is A Tablet For Business

Anyone understands that part on the commercial availability part? Does that mean they are expanding the availability of Surface 2 and Pro 2 to additional 7 markets? That will be great if true.

guys. just got my surface RT today. any idea where to get screen protector?
Received my surface Rt. Just to share, challenger does sell various brand of screen protector, cheapest is 15. Whereas Harvey Norman has incipro screen protector for 33. However Harvey Norman charges $10 for service charge to paste. Crazy!
Will be interesting to hear both your thoughts on the RT after a few days of usage with both the hardware & apps - pros & cons. Cheers!

Exactly that. But through the commercial channel purchases....not your high street!

When I first started playing with it, it was a little sluggish, this is probably due to haven't update and install all necessary updates. After update, I experience improved performance, seems smoother and more responsive. Oh and my came with 40% battery
Display of product: before update I felt that it looks kinda pixelated( still iPad 3 user ) but after update I think it's better
Quality of product: honestly I'm very satisfied with the build, feels like sturdy product, rugged kinda. I like the finishing, feels high quality.

Overall I'm quite satisfied with this product. Haven't run a full battery usage yet

IMO, I will prefer rt to pro. Because rt uses a lower processor, less battery consuming as compared to pro. It's a tablet, and for me it should have long lasting battery life.

Apps wise, I find limited free apps available,

For me IMO, if both budget and the lack of full fledged Windows apps aren't really a concern, it is still better to wait for the Surface (RT) 2.

The Tegra 4 processor should be better, and the screen is also much better (1920 x 1080 versus 1366 x 768).

Yeah it comes down to what one uses it for. If the apps (useful ones) store grows then this can only get better and with the above spec it'll be better and more integrated for those who use the MS ecosystem daily. I'm very reluctant to go Android/Apple for this reason.

At least for me. I feel that surface is capable of giving iPad a run for its money. Surface is really productive especially with the Microsoft office.

The USD500 difference is a bit much for the 256gb and 512gb versions tbh.

The only thing I see MS has is its office, and expensive price tag on the RT which cannot run windows apps should have been removed from their product line. They so confidence in their app growth.... check out their history of product which they have introduce market store or app store... not much is fill in there that can be primary usage.

RT for games nah.... Pro for games nah... that is why Android/Apple is around to eat that sector as well.

Yeah consider the current market price for one ssd at 512gb, if you do a comparison it should be around there...

The iPad cannot run OSX apps so it should have been removed from their product line

Which is why people use PCs....who runs latest games on an Ipad/Android device? FPS type games can't be played well on a tablet full stop.
