Hi guys need your input and feedback.

Do you think it make sense to buy a extended warranty for Surface 2?

Mainly my concern are on the wear n tear of the battery and screen's crack when drop.

Eh after all you will get a refurbish unit, and wear and tear of battery do they warrant for that long ? Most device I know of battery warranty 1 year only. As this is within the tablet field unlike laptops.

I can only say try to be a little careful and do not drop it... as screen crack due to drop... do they warrant as well ? It will be cool if they warranty but if their warranty does not cover your accidental drop then you really in big trouble.

gonna announce sp3 on 20th May...and now tease sg market with sp2?
Most slightly announce Sp3 then unload all the old Sp2 pro models at way higher prices in SG because they cant sell for that price in US

I received another email regarding the confirmation on my refund and they will be crediting to me in 7 days. But the billing department did not mentioned about the return of goods. I called them Ytd to check but I was told to call their Microsoft Store to arrange return. But I was transfered to Microsoft Store US. They're damn dumb.

It kinda makes sense for them. SG is a very small consumer market that seemingly is in Apple's grip. MS has better battles to fight elsewhere, like in Europe. Sony is doing the same thing to the US too - their Xperia Z2 isn't going to be launched there.

I'm pretty happy with my SP1 though, and don't really see the need to upgrade to the SP2. If the SP3 is lighter and has a 16:10 or 4:3 aspect ratio with LTE connectivity, I might be tempted to upgrade.

Anybody knows where to buy Moko Rotatory case in Sg?

Cheers.

The 1st reply from Microsoft Specialist:
Hello *****. My name is *****, and your issue with your Surface 2 tablet has just been brought to my attention. After reviewing this issue, I would like to sincerely apologize for the inconveniences and frustration caused by this matter. I would also like to do everything in my power to make this right. I will be the agent assisting you with the problem from this point until we have completely resolved the issue. If I understand correctly, you received not only a defective unit, but then a defective, used unit as a replacement?

I am more than happy to work hard towards providing a brand new replacement for your product, and also to provide you with some compensation for this issue. Once you have responded and clarified that I have your issue correct, I will be able to move forward with this issue towards the best resolution available. I look forward to your response, please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you and have a great day!
Compensation? zhun bo? microsoft credit for sure. We, singaporeans are not dumb ya. Microsoft wasted most of my time chasing after them and the turnaround time of waiting for the replacement

The 2nd reply:

Thank you for giving me a detailed explanation of this issue, as this helps me to provide the best possible resolution. I can definitely understand your hesitance to go through the return and exchange process again with how much inconvenience you have had to experience this far. I will do my best to make this process as painless as possible moving forward. I will put in the request for a UPS return on your product, and should have a response from UPS within 24-48 hours. Once UPS generates the return label, they will send you an email with the label attached and instructions on how to schedule a pick up. This way, you will not even have to take the package anywhere, and UPS can come to you at a time that is most convenient to pick up the package.

I will also be contacting the Surface department to investigate this issue and try to find out why you were provided with a defective replacement. This is not something I have encountered before, and I definitely understand why you are so frustrated with this. I do hope that this does not permanently ruin your perception of Microsoft, as this is not a normal occurrence. I am hopeful that by the end of this experience, I can do my best to improve your outlook towards Microsoft as a whole.
Ya right, I was assured by this so called Microsoft specialist that the replacement should not be used and was supposed to be brand new.

If they bother to check on every device they sent out to customer, this shouldn't be happening to me. I believed the Service Center gave me a random used refurbs for my brand new surface 2. The serial number was few hundred thousands below.

Judging from this entire experience. Singapore isn't their main target market in their strategy.

Luckily I didn't experience similar to yours. I got a brand new surface replacement last year. Then again, mine was surface1 (32gb)

Its not clear stock I feel like kanna chop carrots, earn more money from substantial loss when user keep replacing their faulty sets. Imaging 1 brand new set faulty return to them fixed somehow... then send to another users, then get back after several months, then fix again... the amount of expenses they need to repair... where do they clear this expenses ?

Wow I feel ur pain... keep asking for refund... make sure they refund you the full amount its not fair for you that they screwed up twice... and the amount of pain to get this thing out of ur hands.... hold on to your thought for that refund and not another unit. Unless they want to refund you SP Pro 3

Would they provide you consider you just a consumer? Or will they cover with some sort of story? This we will never know from their side of view. I guess facing user bad experience from Microsoft happens not once though. I do hope a honesty if there's explanation with aiming its their fault they screw up or something rather than continue this investigation which I think they will dragged till as long as they can.

rumour that the pro 3 could be a 12 inch.
http://vr-zone.com/articles/12-inch-...ini/77448.html

in my opinion, should keep to the same size but slim the whole thing down, and reduce the weight significantly.
