Hmmm....so u mean those shipped the RT in already are idiots?
I'd say being able to use it many months earlier while presumably paying less makes quite a big difference.

Besides, still no news on whether/when the Surfaces are going to be released here. Doubt a MS Store would be popular here, with the number of iOS and Android users. Would be nice though.

Hey i was wondering if i were to buy the surface pro from the us and ship it here, and were to spoil one day then how am i going to get the surface fixed? Through microsoft singapore's office or ship back to U.S.?
As mentioned, you'll likely have to send it back to US yourself. Although if/when Surface gets released here you might be able to get them to do it for you locally. MIGHT. If they're nice enough.

just got a surface RT 64...

I didn't buy it... Got it as a gift...

3 days with it..

not bad machine.. Like the nice velvety feel of VapourMG...

Like the Long 16:9 widescreen too.... Such aspect can really be useful for a 10inch tablet.

Super like the kickstand + touchkeyboard... It works better than I initial though so...

The usb port can even powered and run a Portable ext-DVD Drive...

Blotchy Wifi which is a hit and miss sometimes... XDA members says it is due to poor coding.. Hope MS can rectified it..

Super like the seemless intergration with skydrive+facebook

Super dislike the pathetic apps ecosystem.. but understandable that this platform is just less than 3 mths... I miss Flipboard, catch notes and 3rd party web browser..

Super duper like the battery life... which is super long.. hahhaa...

Else... this baby do need more polishing... It is showing great potential to be a really useful device..

Android tablet? = Heck if I have an android phone.. I don't need another tablet to busy myself with...

Ipads? = not so my cup of tea and not worth my time...

For now... I hope MS will be fast enough to push out all the right fixes and apps to perk this baby up...

you should be aware that changing ram modules is as easy as 123 right? ^^
Surface RT RAM is soldered on. Likely Surface Pro will be soldered on also.

With a 64-bit OS, 4GB RAM will feel like 2GB. Luckily 64bit Win8 uses slightly less than 2GB on boot.

Only user upgradable part is probably the SSD (assuming it's mSATA).

I would say the pricing is way top high. Surface pro is much cheaper if you compared what they could do.

some app works only on x86, and developers are not yet making more app for winrr

What kind of updates are you referring to?

I do know that there are some great app.

The update as in OS revision to bring new features or improvements.

No apps because no developers have this machine thus they can't write apps for it.

Still very impressive and neat stuff anyway.. I just got myself a iPad mini too.. but Surface RT is still a class on its own.

You could say the same for Windows Phone.

But MS is rich enough to continue plugging stuff until it reaches some level of success, so don't worry.

windows RT itself is less than 2 months old. which OS receive an major update at 2 months old? i will worry if they do because it just mean the initial release is badly rushed to meet deadline.

of course, MSFT has deep pocket to do that.

windows phone is getting some talk now.

Go kickstarter & support VLC player port for Windows RT & Windows Phone! You'd get a Metro video player that supports almost everything!
