Really excited to get hands on one of these. 1 month ahead of us so let's get the momentum going.

Interesting. Might hold back on buying the Asus transformer since I have problem in finding one here.

Any spec on this?

Having used the first gen Galaxy tab since launch, I'm also eagerly looking forward to the Tab 10.1v. Given Samsung's manufacturing powers, I'm pretty confident that the build quality would surpass the Transformer. It would be perfect if Samsung enabled native 720p/1080p MKV playback which the current Tab handles easily. Hopefully Samsung Singapore will launch the 3G version soon after the US launch.

I have a feeling it may be expensive.
Although it is a rather tempting piece of hardware.

The thinness and weight of these Samsung tablets are truly impressive.

Considering Google gave out the 10.1 to all the attendees of the Google I/O, I suggest the Samsung tablet will become the most supported tablet like the Nexus phones series.

Now Samsung SG should give us a date for local launch.

I think you would do better to wait for the Samsung Tab 10.1 rather than the 10.1v. The latter was the original 10.1 inch tablet that Samsung was about to launch until it learnt of how thin the iPad 2 was. Samsung then went back to the drawing board and in a very short time came up with the much improved 10.1 (together with the smaller 8.9). For better or worse, Samsung had probably already manufactured stocks of the original 10.1v so it is now positioning those as a 'limited edition' tablet exclusive to Vodafone (hence the 'v').

The 10.1v may never make it to Singapore but that is no loss. I believe the 10.1 is better in almost every way except maybe for the back camera where the original 10.1v has a 8MP sensor compared to the newer 10.1's more standard 5 MP one. Maybe they couldn't squeeze the higher resolution camera into the thinner body ...
