Got so fragile meh
If I am not mistaken, the back is aluminium. Plus the tablet is not light.

That’s not all, its half the price of an Ipad Pro, doesn’t have bendgate, thinner, lighter. The only difference would be the performance. The chipset in the Samsung is only the Snapdragon 670 whilst the one in the Ipad Pro is the A12X bionic chipset, which absolutely destroys the Samsung’s. But at half the price the Samsung is just soo much more worth it.

So true! The S5e isn't supposed to compete with the iPad Pro, I guess that would be the full and proper S5. I've been using mine for net surfing, watching movies, Netflix, you know, regular entertainment stuff and it's been great. The speakers system is surpringly clear and reasonably loud, Netflix is just great on this tablet. Will transfer more of my music and video files from my S2 8" to the S5e, dedicate the S2 as an e-reader as I've got many ebooks and manga on Play Book, Kindle and Dark Horse.

My rugged case from Aliexpress finally arrived. Color not as exact compared to the listing and the kickstand doesn't work. The cutouts are pretty precise though. Will have to see if this protects the screen.

The other day my tablet fell off my night stand. Lucky it was facing down on the table, so it flipped once and landed on its back. The magnetic case was useful for something after all lol

Tab S6 is coming!

https://www.sammobile.com/news/exclu...6-dual-camera/

Name of the upcoming flagship tablet will be Tab S6, not Tab S5.
Starts at 6gb + 128gb.
Uses the Snapdragon 855.
S-pen will connect and charge magnetically (charging is for bluetooth functions) to the back.
Two rear cameras.

Just got my 512GB Patriot Class 10 U3 mSD card and backlit BT keyboard+case for the S5e. Just paired it with my S5e and typing this message with the keyboard. Will post a pic later, now loading my ebooks and ecomic/manga into my S5e.

Edit (to include pics)
The mSD card and keyboard case

The keyboard can do seven colors, here're two...

Very nice! How heavy is this keyboard? Which Bluetooth protocol does the keyboard use? 4.2 or 5.0?

Are there any ongoing promotions going on for the S5E? Where can one get the best price otherwise?

So far this is the best offer at S$479 for a 64G LTE set. The concern is no local warranty. I bought 2 sets and the shipping is fast. Once order, within 5 days you will get the set.

Thanks.
I believe the language will be in Korean? Is it easy to switch back?
Also I assume the free cover is no longer applicable?

I'm here in Toronto, will be back in Sg first week of August. And I will be back again in November, that's why I'm fine with buying mine here in Toronto as I can have any warranty issue handled here.

I bought mine at 649CAD, it came with an AKG Y500 BT headphone so it is worthwhile for me. Mine is the 128GB WiFi model, oddly enough, I was told Canada does not have the LTE model when I asked the Samsung shop salesman.

Edit: The backlit keyboard/case in the pic above puts my S5e to standby mode when I close the cover.

you only get the tablet. no free cover.

well, just choose english during setup so it is ok.

There are a few korean apps installed but you can remove them with ease.
