I'm touching down at 430pm in Taoyuan.
Might clash with the 5-6pm rush hour?
I'm mulling between the Airport MRT+transfer or the hotel transfer ($90).
Will be with 2 60-years and a 1.5year old. Sounds like hotel transport will be better for my sanity..

My upcoming trip on 11th also same timing
3 adults 2 kids...going xmd directly this time and will be taking private car still

Yes, go with hotel transfer and do ask for a booster seat.
All you need is to tell them the flight number, it will be on their onus to be on time or slightly later to meet up.

Airport to Chiayi only saint to do HSR.
But then you can always factor in dining bofore heading down south.
Reach HSR station and start feasting a little, stretch up before another 1h plus ride.
Never like their HSR. Seats not very comfy, or too stiff.
3A2C, can be easily settled as long as kids not tired out.

Alot of difference between different websites

E.g. 7 mar for taichung
Yahoo give the range of 14 to 17 but accuweather give 15 to 21..

I v scared hot... thinking whether shld just wear shorts

their queue is really damn inefficient... queue for one hour at 7pm for my previous trip. terrible.
