Since you already been to Taipei, Hualien and Kaohsiung, you can focus more on the central of tw. Example Sun Moon Lake, Cingjing, Alishan (a lot of climbing can skip), Taichung and Miaoli. If you not going to Kaohsiung, just fly and land both in Taoyuan.

If you going to central part of Taiwan, you don't really need to use HSR, there are bus too. Possible of taking HSR is Taoyuan airport to Taichung only. Some trips you can consider to hire a driver cum car/van to places like Miaoli, Taichung and cingjing. It's costly but go to more attractions and less walking.
Thank you Andrew bro. You made a good point. We have not visited those places you listed out, so it will be a good time to go this time. Will most probably skip Kaohsiung instead. Good to know that for the places you listed, we can just go there via driver/train while just buying a return flight to Taoyuan. For our accomodation, we will most likely stay in Ximending area.

Anyway can we please know what's the recommended nights we should stay in Taichung or ching qing etc if we plan to visit the following places?
Are these places worth visiting or there are better alternatives?

Taichung
- Chung Tai World Museum
- National Taichung Theatre
- Cing Jing Farm
- Little Swiss Garden
- Carton King
- Sun Moon Lake
- Rainbow village
- He Huan Mountain
- Taiwan Times Village
- Miyahara
- Feng Jia Night market
-

Taipei
- Yangmingshan (Wonder if there is sakura in last week of feb)
- Jiufen + Sky Lantern
- Raohe Night Markets
- Night Market (forgot the name but I think is near a university and sell many sports stuff)
- Beitou Thermal Valley
- Huashan 1914 Creative Park (Dunno if this is worth going)
- Taipei Eye to watch performance
- Any recommended places for family massage?

Thanks alot guys

Meaning go see sakura but sakura not in season etc
Even some people think that strawberry season is whole year round, but when they head to dahu, only see them in bottles.

You have only 8d7n, planning on Taichung, SML and Cingjing first, the number of days left in Taipei, therefore you do not have enough time for all those you listed under Taipei.
Yangmingshan need at least half a day
Juifen shifen is 1 day trip, can end with Raohe Night Markets.
Beitou is a bit far, if not for hotspring can skip.

You can google for Taichung, SML and Cingjing. Can get more information and what attractions to add or skip in your plan.
