China Airline is, by far, the CHEAPEST airline to Taiwan n it offers the best flight timings...

However, it has a bad reputation for high accident rate (*touch wood* lah).. I once took China Airlines to HK...n guess wat??
Was hit by turbulence to n fro (quite bad ones).. n the landing was terrible... Wat's more, the flight was not that *steady*...

The national airline of taiwan is Eva Air loh.. can also go by Cathay/SQ if got spare cash...:p

its oki really if u are on a budget like me. just keep ur fingers crossed and say your prayers.

turbulence is see heng suay one i think...landing wise depends on the pilot skill lvl...

China air last accident was in 2002, crashed off Penghu island upon leaving taipei 1 hr into its flight...

Eva air is accident-free but the timings not good...fly off in afternoon arrive at night..

sq is safe but x

overall is quite fine the flight... took to taiwan straight but the return flight was the morning and stop over at hk... and actually was quite "shocked" to see that the plane that i took was actually a A300 and B737... as don't really remember taking such small planes... usually took 747s...
