Smile need help!

dear bros and sisters,

need your help as this is my first trip to taipei,

i will be going to taipei next Friday, 11 June. only a 4 day trip due to clash of leave schedule with other colleagues. Our objective of the trip is more to have fun, and quite ok with spending more to enjoy the trip.

i have the following questions and hoped that your can help me with it.

1. What is the best way for airport transfer to Les Suites Ching Cheng? it is located near Nanking East Mrt station. I cannot decide between Freego bus and taxi? How is the Freego bus like? is it spacious and comfortable like the tour coaches to Genting?

2. Is getting to scenic places like Yeliu & Shihfen waterfall difficult? how long does it take? How much time should i allocate to visiting them?

3. Where are the best places to shop for stuff suitable for people in the early 20 age group?

4. Due to time limit, i dun think i will be able to go to all the night markets, so which are the ones that are must visit?

Thanks all for your great help!

You can Take Freego or Evergreen-check which bus leaving first before buying the ticket. These are tour buses -comfortable with luggage compartments etc.

2. Is getting to scenic places like Yeliu & Shihfen waterfall difficult? how long does it take? How much time should i allocate to visiting them?
You said 4 days i.e.4D/3N or 5D/4N If the former, the I'd not go to Shifen as it will be time consuming unless you leave real early and check the train timings for connections-Do Yeliou and Jioufen N Keelung

3. Where are the best places to shop for stuff suitable for people in the early 20 age group?
For Girls-Wufenpu and Zhongxiao Dunhua for Unisex Night Markets like Shihlin and Raohe St NM and XMD

Hot Spring: You can go for package of 1.5 hrs or 2 hrs: Go on a weekday:in Beitou: If public area, you need swimwear and cap for unisex bathing, check out the websites for info:

if i want to go to the following places in 1 day, how should i plan my route and what mode of transport should i take? i only know i should start with yeliu and end with pingxi...

XMD to:

bus from taipei main station -> yeliu
bus from yeliu alighting point, cross the road -> keelung (mainly is for miaokou NM, is this 24 hours? saw from the website that it is but i thought it is a NM *confused*)
bus from keelung interchange -> jinguashi (not a must)
take back same bus from jinguashi -> jiufen (old street)
cab from jiufen -> shifen (waterfall)
cab? -> pingxi (to fang tian deng)
how to go back XMD from pingxi?

is the above viable? thanks in advance!

Go to their forums. They are people who lives or write travel books for Taiwan.

Have fun!

hi guys. I need help in navigating around taiwan in july 2010.
I am staying in wonstar song shan hotel. Wish to travel to Chateau De Olliere (http://www.ipeen.com.tw/comment/79410) in puli and at the same time going to cingjing farm (http://www.ipeen.com.tw/shop/55225).
Anyone can provide me with the route to trave to these 2 places from taipei ?
Should i stay there for 1 or 2 nights? Is it worth it to travel to taichung for a 1 day before i head back to taipei ?
