Good Evening!

Sorry if this question have been posted before...
currently planning to go to Jiufen from taipei, can anyone confirm if the following are correct.
  • take the railway from Taipei main railway station
  • travel all the way to Ruifang Station.
  • From Ruifang take the Keelung Transit bus from the bus stops in front of the train station to Jiufen.
  • Align at Jiufen???

What about coming back? same method but opposite direction, as in below????
  • From Jiufen, take the Keelung Transit bus (where to gather for this??) to Ruifang station.
  • travel all the way from Ruifang Station.
  • arrival at Taipei main railway station

Would appreciate any kind of help in this area..can't wait to go next week....
normally ppl would go to keelung night market after jiu fen.. than take train back from keelung

There is a bus direct to Joiufen from across SOGO on Zhongxiao East Road at the Zhongxiao Fuxing MRT Stop. The Bus signboard is clearly marked

Hi all,

Anybody ever stayed in Star Beauty Hotel Taipei before? Saw quite good reviews from the internet.

I saw in one of these posts that never leave your luggages in the hotel. I am planning to ask the hotel whether I can leave some of my luggages in the hotel since I will be staying there after my trip to outside Taipei...
So this isn't recommended at all?

Thanks.

If you are going to stay at the same hotel after your trip around the Island, it is okay to leave your bags at the Hotel for safe keeping.
Star Beauty is an okay hotel.

You have to go to Taoyuan Station for the train to Hualien.
Take a bus:Check if they have a stop at the Train Station

The Journey time to Taipei and Taoyuan city about 10 mins difference.

I think there are more connections in Taipei for Hualien, I'd take the KuoKuang bus to Taipei Main Station and then the train to Hualien.

Is national palace museum worth going?

Is Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall and CKS memorial similar? I thought of just going to one, which one will be better?

thanks!

both diff
Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall is more on Sun Yat Sen life, his ideas on freedom, his revolution activities, how he build china in the early yrs

CKS memorial is more on President Chiang Kai Shek, other than his life, it focus more on the part where he took over from Sun Yat Sen, the transit period after WW2, movement on civil war, after shifting of Nationalists to taiwan, the building of Taiwan
