Isit true that Alishaan has Yinhua which is better then those in japan..can any1 confirm coz when i took car back to airport from hotel rainbow, the driver was saying he dun understand why soo many taiwan people fly to japan for the Yinhua even though Alishaan has more variety. Thanks for the help in advance.
dun know about the variety but dun think so. i never saw any white sakura in taiwan and there is no hanami in taiwan. secondly it depends in the season. when i'm on alishan, the blossom is so pathetic that i dun even feel like taking them. you want to see the best of sakura, go somewhere in late-feb to early march at jiuzu sakura festival in nantou area near riyuetan.

Nice Pics!!!
Do you know that in Japan they call those trees there "Taiwan Cherry Blossoms" Apparently they were taken to Japan from Taiwan a long time ago!!!! during Japanese rule of Taiwan.

I think Cherry Blossom season is March/April each year. Even Peitou is full of these flowers then. many people enjoy this view from the outdoor hotspring bath houses.

Sakura is Cherry Blossom!! Did not know that.

P.S. Yangmingshan and the Central Mountain region is really lovely at this time of year.

Hi, Many Internet cafes here, quite cheap too. Dont know how much since I dont need their services but you can use their facility and load you pics to Yahoo Photos now,no limit for personal photos at Yahoo (So they say) or to your thumb drive.

Anybody know what is the best and cheap way to get to East Dragon Hotel from the airport? I plan to go to Taiwan from 8th - 11th Oct alone though...
Take Gouguang Bus to Taipei Main Station and then a cab (Below NT100) or MRt to Ximen Exit 6 and walk to hotel through the Ximenting Pedestrian area (Pass Rainbow, straight on pass the food shops, cross small road to East Dragon.
