rainbow staffs quite friendly mah~ i chit chat to the staffs everyday during my stay there and they offered alot advice for me and even helped me checked when got celeb performance at where and helped me booked taroko tour.

it is also not noisy in fact i felt it was quite happening due to the location. the room is abit old but overall still very clean and cosy
i didn't state that rainbow staff aren't friendly. just feel that stars hotel staff are even friendlier. i stayed at both hotels so i feel it's a good comparsion.

rainbow's rooms are old but clean and cosy, but stars' rooms are NEW and cleaner and more cosy.

when i travel, i prefer good hotel staff who make me feel welcome and comfortable, and also clean rooms and rooms that 'look' brand new. personal preference. if paying the same price or similar prices, why not go for the better one?

anyway i just made an IDD call to stars hotel,

the rate if i remember correctly is

fri & sat:

its peak period,

room no sea view - aroun 2480NT == around 120 SGD

better rooms with sea view 3280 & 3580NT

sun-thur:

off peak:

1980NT == around 100 SGD

2580NT & 2880NT

cannot get the 80-88 SGD prices

The staff told me i got the low rate is because i am booking 5 days straight, thats why got promotion.And somemore it falls on weekdays which is cheaper.

Did you dial the area code as 03 or 3 before the main number?? You could have dialed the One Star in Hualien , hence the sea view.
