Don't worry, this is what i do, i booked the Onestar hotel by putting my name .. that all ... anyway, u need to cross the road and u wl reach Ximenting ... and maybe a 5 to 10 min walk to MRT ... quite good location ...
Thanks for the assurance. That's good news for us cos we really had a hard time getting a suitable place.

btw, you drive a jazz?

Hi All,

Thanks for your comments on the exchange rate. My fren just changed at 19.6 and I was hoping to get the same rate

Hi Taediumv,

Lucky you! I called up Onestar and the receptionist asked me to wire money over. So I din take up the rooms even tho they were available.
Actually I would feel safer if they took some kind of deposit from me. But since the others here say it's standard practice, I'll just trust them.

Have you booked your trip? Why don't you try calling them again? I found that that different receptionists have different versions of the room rates and availability!

It is going to be Cold this Winter.
First snow on Ho Huan and many other places minus 1 already . Those going up to the Mountains will need serious clothing and shoes as it will be very wet and slippery.

Hey guys, i have a suggestion.

For those going taiwan soon, why not we all post down the exchange rate for the day.
Since all of us staying in different areas, we can have a rough idea where offers the best rate.

Prehaps we can list down our findings in this manner ..

1) Area of exchange (eg. Sun plaza)
2) rate (eg. 19.3)
3) date (14/12/05)

Cheers
