Just want to know whether we need to buy mineral water from the supermarket or can consume the tap water by boiling it? I'm flying on this Friday, hope the weather is not so cold....
All Hotels have the Hot Water "Pot" in the room. You can boil the Tap water to drink. While the Taipei Govt swears by the quality of the Water, I have not tried it as yet.

It is going to be really cold over the next couple of days, Friday low is 8C ~ 16C , Sat 9c ~ 18C Sun 11C ~ 19C.

If you have to buy Mineral Water, better to buy from the Supermarkets not 7/11. a lot cheaper for the larger bottles.

Hi All,

Jus back from Taipei last night. Those who are interested in the weather, I think it's not that bad except when there's strong wind. I wore 3 layers, one t-shirt, 1 long sleeve shirt and i jacket. Even walked ard in sandals. Pple probably thot I'm weird cos almost everyone wore track shoes or shoes which covered the feet But can't help it cos all the walking ard in my boots were killing me

If anyone else is staying in Friends Hotel, do ask for the free airport transfer from hotel to airport for min 4 nites stay.

Hey man,

Nice Pics and nice review of your trip. Someof the Pics from the 101 extremely clear.

For Me going to work every morning is like a fashion show!!! People ask me why I never left after 21 years here. Every day something different happening around here. I think I will only leave if people offer me more money for my job. Then I can come here for Holidays!!!

True, not too many place for guys to shop, but if guys want to see a lot of Girls, you got to know where they shop

Taipei City mall: Really nice for girls to get shoes. so many shops now with the NT200 sign. What about those Fung Shui shops, small gifts from NT10 up?? The Station Front Mall got more clothes.

bluebellas, You covered quite a bit for a short trip. not bad.

Chongqing S Rd, is Chongqing Nan Lu for the people here. We dont call it "Book Street" It is only for tourists . The President's office address is actually on Chongqing S Rd.

The DVD Prices went up this year because of some WTO ruling!!! it used to be much cheaper.

I going on the 24th dec. BTW want to ask what is the name of the so called night market in KaoShiung BESIDES Liu He Night Market...

Last year I went and took a taxi the driver took us south down from Liu he Night Market area to another area but i forgot the name liao. Its quite big area, a few streets filled with alot of small shops and stalls selling fashionable clothes and stuff.

The taxi driver told us its the new hip place for young pple to hang out. I remember its after a school and a few cinemas from the main road Jung Hua 3 Rd.
