hmm....actually nowadays the mua chi and tai yang bing , u can easily get it in certain shopping malls and pasar malam eg: those in chinatown during cny.....there r stalls selling such stuff at the pushcarts outside carrefour at suntec city...and there is a speciality taiwanese shop at marina sqr near long john silver/gaint supermarket selling such products.....so hmm..i dun really recommended these stuff.....instead, i will advise u to get products which u can't get in s'pore eg: pineapple tarts, those dired foodstuff eg: seahorse titbits at hualien etc.......maybe u would like to drop by the those stalls i mentioned to have a look then consider what u going to get at taiwan......
btw, taiwan really have much more stuff rather than those commonly known ones eg: tai yang bing, pineapple tarts, mua chi.......one stuff u must definitely get if u like the taste is "metal eggs" i think it's quail or ducks eggs...they r soaked in special sauce and vacuum packed.......that one i know s'pore dun have cos i always look for it...haha

a few days ago I called WonStar Hotel www.wonstar.com.tw
The receptionist said booking either through phone (paid in full upon check in or daily basis) or internet (paid in full immediately). The room rate is the same by either way.

There will be 3-pin adapter in the room. No safe box but can deposit at front desk. No mini bus to the hotel so have to take FeiGou bus from airport to Taipei Central MRT station then to Ximen station.

for me... i feel alrite to pay full... if u feel not safe.. can try get receipt for the payment..
when u do full payment.. u need not worry u overspend ur hotel money... and oso reduce the tendency of loosing much cash ..end up having for trouble for more..

taiyang bing?? theres one old confectionary shop at ximending along chengdu rd.. dunno nice anot... tat time fren went to buy and they have limited stock.. so look and sounds not bad.. thought i din see much people patronise the outlet (need to ask fren for feedback)

You won't be able to find bing lang in convenience stores like 7-11, FamilyMart etc but you should get them easily enough in some neighbourhood shops specialising in bing lang. These are usually manned by aunties and uncles.

As for the xi shi variety, you would need to get out outside of Taipei city itself.

Not sure whether the number is correct, but you do not dial a 0 before the 02 if dailing from SG. i.e. you should dial 886 2 2781 3888.

Hi cktokiwa

You dont get tickets for the show, you just get there go there half an hour early. Also to reconfirm, call CTV Tel No: 886-2-2781-3888 ext 224 Mr Yang on the day of recording.
There is a recording on the 20th of Feb and Another on the 6th of March.
(The tel operators here are not too smart!!)

It is on alternate Mondays Two recordings 2pm ~ 6pm and 7pm ~11pm recording: Take MRT To Kunyang and then a cab to CTV Studio. You Can also take Blue 22 bus over to China TV. NT15 only! Cross over road of the Kunyang MRT station to take this bus. Get there by about 1.30 pm and 6.30pm respectively.

臺北市南港區重陽路120൯
(Mr Yang is generally not available before noon.)
