yupz. i juz called them up.

for benefit of all the others, you all can call 62236546 to obtain maps and pass etc.
but according to the lady, it would be better to go down to collect them cos they have some maps which they are unable to send via post.

Address to collect:

No.5 Shenton Way
UIC Building
#31-11

Hi,

It is every hour from 9am, that is why I always add it as a first thing to do in the Morning as Stores and other places not open yet. The Other 2 places one can visit in the morning are Longshan Temple (Opens at 5.45) and the Martyr's Shrine Same time as CKS Mem but IMHO the changing of the gusrds here at MS is better and longer.

Freego Info is latest from Forumers who have used the service to get to Ximenting directly,It is correct info. Just go to the counter and tell them which Hotel.
where is this martyr's shrine?

The Martyrs' Shrine:
Built in Ming dynasty style to commemorate those who died in China's wars over the centuries. The formal changing of the guard attracts an interesting crowd of onlookers.

If there is 1 day to spend, is it better to go to Yang Min Shan (to see flowers and trees) or Toroko Gorge (to see rocks and mountains)?

Hi,

The Best way to Martyr's Shrine is:MRT to Yuanshan MRT, Exit 1 and cross road to Taipei Soccer Stadium Bus Stop. Bus Red 2 , 21 , 208 , 247, 287 . All stop at Martyr's Shrine. From here, you can take the same bus back to Yuanshan or you can take the 247/287 to Town (Taipei Main Station or Bo Ai Rd, near Ximen. (The board should read Hengyang Rd.)

This is also another route to Miramar complex a bit further down the road by the same buses.
