I want to plan Yu Ren Ma Tou on Sunday becos Monday is my hubby's birthday. So I intend to have a romantic BIRTHDAY countdown celebration with him there...hehehe..Any suggestion of what I can do and plan at that place? Romantic dinner.....etc???
All the others we can let you know later. But for this , I would suggest killing many birds with one stone.

Go to A good Hot Spring Resort and take a 2 hrs Package with meal. These two come highly recommended by forumers.

Asia Pacific Resort: Tel: 2898 3088 Fax: 2832 4053

Spring City Resort: Tel: 2897 5555 Fax: 2896 1248

I heard that they upgraded the rooms at Baguio, Do let us know.
This site lists the Wifi Hot Spots around Taiwan: Looks like all the 3C stores have a hotspot(Large Yellow and Black Sign -Electric and Electronic Chain Store)

HI,
Hualien is in the East and Sun Moon Lake is Central. There is no Public transport to go there. Cabbie can cost NTD4000+ (Forumer Liebe took cabbie from Chingling to Hualien one way , paid NTD4000/-
Train Via Taipei.
How many days are you here in Taiwan. You can do a One day trip to Sun moon lake. What other places (cities) do you intend to visit.
wah 4000+ is quite steep for a cab. In that case, think I'll probably do a day trip from Taipei. Thanks for the info!

Or you could do Danshui and Fisherman's Wharf first then go and relax in the "Private " Room for a dip and a meal.
The Asia Pac also have a free pickup every 45 mins from Beitou MRT stop.

There are other places for Private baths that are cheaper. Some like it and others dont. One such place is :

Suites with Cypress Tubs: 2 hrs - NTD680 or NTD780 depending on room size.
No Website.

Public pools in the Better resorts cost abot NTD600~NTD800 for 2~3 Hrs.

Spa Spring Resort: Tel: 2897 9060 Fax:2897 9065
http://www.spaspringresort.com.tw

Sweetme HotSpring Resort : Tel:2898 3838 Fax: 2898 4505

The reason I asked you for the length of your trip was that you could buy that 2 week validity round the Island Rail Ticket. Then you can make 7 stops along the way and do your side trips to Sun Moon Lake from Taichung, Alishan from Chiayi and visit Kaohshiung, Taitung and Hualien before returning to Taipei.
The restriction is you have to travel in one direction round the Island. It costs onlt NTD1706/ per head and that is ver reasonable.

Yup. I saw some package tours convering round island in 7 days , doable but quite hectic. After some consideration, think I better stick to stay in Taipei as a base, then plan days trips to Hualien and Sun Moon Lake. The rest think too much to cover liao and not too interested in kaoshiung too. Thanks to all for ur suggestions
