Go to Jiufen/Jinguashi, then go to Shipen and finally to Keelung. All in one day?

It's been done. One has to leave early and do Shifen first. Dont forget others started with Yeliou then Keeleng to Ruifang to connect train to Shifen, then back to Ruifang to take Bus to Jioufen then to Keelung and back to Taipei.

The days are getting longer now.

HI,

Just to let you know, I have a shaved head No hair to comb, perm, shampoo e.t.c.

In Taipei there are 2 chain stores : Show Lin and Mentor they have a lot of competition between each other. I dont think mentor has a website but this is the Showlin site, perhaps you can get an idea of costs.

Leave about 8.30 am or earlier.
Yeilou :Take a Kuo Kuang (02-2558 3060) Bus from the North Station of KuoKuang
Bus in Taipei Near Taipei Main Station to Yeliou (NT80 per head).
See the sites there Mainly unique Rock formations.

From there take a Keelung Bus to the Keelung Main Station.
From there you can take a bus to Jinguashi

Then work your way backwards to Jiufen and Ruefang before returning to Keelung in the evening...It may seem complicated but it is not. All of these are within one area with that Keelung bus plying the route.

Now you have returned to Keelung in the late evening, then head for Miaokow Food Street andafter your Dinner, you can stroll around the Keelung before returning to the hotel later by Bus or train.

http://www.miaokow.org Miaokow - Keelung Roadside Cuisine (Great place to
eat) Last train out of here at 10.30
(Exact change needed for buses here so kep a lot of NT50 and NT10 coins.)
These are not city buses but Intercity, cannot use MRT easy card.
hi, i quoted the above information previously posted by nutty. hope its useful for u. Basically I think once you get to KeeLung, there is a KeeLung bus connecting JinGuaShi/JiuFen/RuiFang.

Hey friends,
The weather has dipped a bit, Day is 21C - 25C Night 19C- 22C
While the Day temp will rise daily after than, in the evenings , it will drop down to 19C~22C
So for some of you a light jacket might be necessary,no reason to catch cold here.
