china airlines or jetstar

mid range would be brunei airlines or cathay, but they take longer because of transit

thks, coolsmurf.

Mine is a bit hasty, but if I decide to book the tix now, can I just book 2 nites accom first, then when there, find a local travel agent to arrange day trips and find better tour/hotel packages there?

Is it easy to get round taipei. I'll be travelling alone, safe? What are the must see must do there?

either guy/gal, its not too hard to get around as long u stay in lighted areas plus its chinese speaking..

why not settle all at once ur accomodation, save u time and can spend more on sightseeing/shopping while there instead of looking for accomodation

day trips in taipei, look for those to jiufen, beitou, yangmingshan, those far far places fom taipei city..

I was thinking I can have the option of taking an overnight tour, if any, so don't book all accomm first. I dunno, not sure what I want to do yet. Love to see natural sceneries and the countryside, mountains, etc.

I will be in Taiwan in Jan for a week with a friend. Have already bought the air tickets but yet to book lodging.. Thinking of taking a land package for convenience. How about you ?

Since many here recommends Rainbow, Guo Guang right? I check the website at easytravel, there's a period before/after new year's day, fully booked. That's my intended period of travel, what other hotel is recommended? near mrt, near food stalls, near street side shops good for walking around. Thks.

you can try Keymans hotel (huai ning fan dian)
http://www.keymans.com.tw

i booked my accomodation there. it is ard 90+
nt say v.cheap..but i like the location, it is juz opposite taipei train station.
nearby got MRT, xin guang san yue, book street, guang hua, lots of food ard that area. there is a "tian bu la store" (only selling at night), 2-3 bakery shop, 2-3 convenient store and the wantan soup store opp the hotel is very yummy..especially in winter.... ^O^

i remember there is a cheaper hotel (ard 60-70) opposite keymans during my last trip..
didn't stay there coz i requested to take alook at the room b4 i decide..
but i din feel good when i stepped into the room.

thks. did you book through this website? I went in, and unlike other sites, it doesn't show you room availability, just price only, then you have to fill up the form.

If you booked this way, how long did they get back to you to confirm?
