from the city itself?

Is it possible to do a 2-day trip to beitou in this way - from taipei city, go dan shui and enjoy the natural scenery there, eat and then head to beitou for the evening, enjoy hotspring and stay one night, next day, back to taipei city?

OK, I've got a tentative itinerary now:

Day1: Arrive 5.35pm, will check in, find dinner, go shi lin nite market.
Day2: Take MRT to bei tou, soak hotspring, maybe lunch then head to dan shui, walk around and enjoy dinner and sunset, come back.
Day3 & 4: Will book a 2-day trip to hualian and stay at one of the farms there and come back the next day.
Day 5: Go jiu fen. One day enough?
Day 6: open to suggestion
Day 7: flight in the evening, so will use the day to shop & walk around.

Shopping not my priority. Just want to do sightseeing. I will use whatever free time each day, in the evening, to do shopping.

Would appreciate those familiar to suggest how I can improve the above. Getting all excited and looking forward to the trip. Thks.

"Day 5: Go jiu fen. One day enough?"

If you go there early in the morning, reach there 10 am plus, should be able to leave around 2 pm.

Thereafter, where you want to go is depends on you. Suggestion: Maybe explore the small town where the train station is (Ruifang), or even to to jilong.

Yes, SIA promo very good, but need 2 to go. I travel solo, no choice, get from Jetstar.

When I booked my flight, the 'to taipei' price was $189, after I booked, I check again, the price actually came down to $169. Damn unlucky. I thought budget airline is such that the earlier in advance you book, the cheaper and when seats get fewer, more expensive.

Read today's papers, SIA slash price some more, round trip to taipei only $98, 2 to go. Those wanna go taipei, just grab anyone go with you. The price is so cheap.

Few days back I booked Jetstar, budget airlines, and it cost $402 incl tax & services. Heart pain now.
